WelcomeThe Crystal Lake Conservancy is a not-for-profit organization devoted to the preservation and protection of Crystal Lake for the benefit of the public. Our goal is to promote and support the unique natural beauty and recreational enjoyment of the Lake. Activities of the Conservancy involve increasing community awareness of issues related to the Lake, raising funds and promoting environmentally sustainable uses for the Lake and its surroundings through close collaboration with the City of Newton, the residents and other community volunteer efforts. Green Decade Newton's 2013 Environmental Leadership AwardThe Crystal Lake Conservancy is the proud recipient of Green Decade Newton's 2013 Environmental
Leadership Award (in group award category) for outstanding environmental contribution in Newton. Green Decade Newton chose CLC based on our recent work to preserve the lake and increase community awareness about issues facing the lake. The award will be presented on Tuesday, May 28th, 7pm at Green Decade's “Greening our Community Series” program at the Newton Free Library. http://greendecade.org/environmentalawards.html
