Pre-School Ode
We'd like to thank Martha Lawler for sharing a poem created by her daughter and pre-school friends back in 2006 about their visit to the Lake:
A Visit to Crystal Lake Walking to Crystal Lake holding hands Friends side by side The dock is in the water now There's an ant near me I like to rest on the grass I hear the sound of an airplane Birds tweeting and the train going by We love our visit to Crystal Lake Can we dip our toes in the water next time? What Are These Signs in My Neighborhood?

These signs came about as a result of a collaborative effort between city officials including the Parks & Recreation department and the Crystal Lake Conservancy. The signs show activities to avoid when in the watershed so that Crystal Lake can continue to be a viable and beautiful natural resource in the coming years. Read more...
