Photo Gallery for Paddles and Pumpkins Event Held on October 6, 2013

This was a joint effort of the Crystal Lake Conservancy and the Newton Parks and Recreation Department, and despite the light rain, it was very well attended and enjoyed by everyone.  There was free canoeing and kayaking on the lake, cider and cookies, a strung donuts game and pumpkin decorating between 2 and 4pm.  Then, Janice Bourque and Schuyler Larrabee of the Conservancy, and Bob DeRubeis, Dori Zaleznik and Maria Rose of the City of Newton gave brief overviews of measures being taken to maintain the health of the lake.
